Q: My impala kinda jumps between 45 and 55, 59 and 60, and 69 and 70. Is it the transmission?
I have a 2002 impala as some may know. My car is throwing the map sensor code, but the mechanic said something about a torque converter. But my car is front wheel drive so I was wondering if it has one one. So does any have a guess what the real problem is?

A: Yes all automatics have torque converters it sounds like the converter lock up is not working right could be the control or god forbid the sprag cluch.Good luck hope it the control.

Q: I was in my 59 Impala in El Mirage in Arizona and i started hitting the switches on a red light i seen a cop.?
so i was on a red light and i started hopping my car and i seen a 86 regal it had the sirence lights on top and i droppped the car because it was a cop.. i turned left so it wouldnt notice me again.. and guess what?? he started bunny hoppin and 3 wheelin right by me and on the side of his car it said ” El Mirage State Gang” so i just 3 wheeled at the turn and left lol..

Q: how do you buy cars from people?
like if someone had a 59 impala and i wanted to buy it from them, how would i buy it? do i just hand them $15000 or whatever in cash? do i pay them off as i go? how does it work. (not the auto mall because they sell new cars, new cars these days look like space ships)

A: You give them money. They give you the keys (and hopefully the relevant documents).

Q: 2004 Chevy Impala 4 Dr SS Supercharged Sedan, good car?
This car has 59,000 miles on it, for 15,000$
Is that a good price?
I mean, it has everything you can think of in it and it is supercharged. Online it says its valued at 17,000.
If anyone has any thoughts on the car, let me know.

A: I looked at this car before I bought an 04 Impala sedan new. You will have to run premium fuel in this car ALL the time. (price that stuff lately?) If you don’t , it could backfire thru the supercharger and blow it up. Other that that , it’s a fine car. I have had some minor things go wrong but nothing big. It was still under warranty for that stuff anyway. I get around 32mpg on the hwy. I have got 105,500 miles on it and it stil run great.

I am looking to buy this car with 59,000 miles on it.
It is selling for a reasonable 15,000 dollars. I was wondering, for those of you who have this car or know about it, what speakers are in it? In the trunk I see a small amp and the speakers sound very good. I am thinking because it is the SS edition, it may have a special speaker package in it. The 1 owner was a middle aged man and I dont think he would have added speakers himself. If anyone know, that would be great. Thanks.

A: There are 3 radio options on the Impala, regardless of SS option.
AM/FM, Casette
AM/FM, CD
AM/FM, Casette, CD

The amplifier is stock equipment, and the speakers do sound very good.

Q: If you could have any classic car in mint condition – what would it be?
And is there a certain color? I’m partial to chevy’s so my top four are 59 Chevy Bel Air, 64 Chevelle SS396, 65 Impala SS, or a 68 Camaro SS.

A: 57 chevy or any mode of corvair

Q: Can I replace my LT1 with a ZZ572?
Can I legally replace my LT1 with a ZZ572ci, in my 1995 Chevy Impala SS? The ZZ572 is carburated and the LT1 is EFI. How do I get past the smog deal? Is there a ZZ572 EFI ?

A: It ain’t gonna happen. NO WAY will the ZZ572 pass smog
