Nissan
A great article on Nissan
Q: Nissan….?
Should Nissan bring back the Silvia? s16 maybe? gt-r and silvia WILL SKYROCKET THEIR SALES, agree?
A: Queston is will inflation kill new car buying? Will 450 a gallon gasoline cause people to drive 1.5 liter diesel put puts. I was amazed that a bicycle I wanted made in Singapore now costs $500 more. The USA dollar is going into the dumper. Buy what you want now because it will take lots more dollars soon. I think Nissan Product line world wide is what it is going to be for a while until USA dollar settles out.
Q: NISSAN????????????????
who like skylines?
chris i think there a great car but the skyline has a better look but i like what they did in the new fast and there furious where they combined the 2 skyline and the gtr
A: @chris the gt-r is still a skyline, gt-r is just formal
Q: Does Nissan have someone to contact besides dealers to help with a lemon car Under warranty?
I have Nissan Altima 2003 with 35,000 miles on it, Still under warranty.I followed the mantienance schedule carefully This car is running the third engine that was put by the authorized Nissan Shop plus the car had many other problems that were covered by the warranty. I had real bad time with this car. It keeps giving troubles, they just keep fixing until the warranty expires. Then what? I am still paying the car, a car thats not dependable. It may be the authorized service center fault but I still keep having troubles. Need someone from Nissan to help me, I want this car to be exchanged for another. PS I live in Puerto Rico US
A: You’re going to have to continue to deal wtih the dealership, they have “exclusive” priveleges to deal with warranty issues.
This is exactly why Toyota is #1 and Honda is #2 among Japanese car makers. I owned a Datsun 210 and drove it for 264,262 miles, but by the time I got done with it I swore I’d never own another Nissen auto because of the dealers and their service.

Q: How can I identify a genuine Nissan body part from an aftermarket part?
I’m trying to find replacement body parts to repair a damaged hood on my Nissan Pathfinder. I’ve found someone who says they have a new genuine Nissan hood, but I don’t know how to verify its authenticity.
A: if its authentic it will have the matching vin number on the panel weather its the hood door bumper or trunk….. if it has been replaced and by an aftermarket dealer than you will see a sticker that sayd R-DOT ot just DOT….. meaning replaced-department of transportation… just means its a product that has been replaced and aprroved by the dept of transportation…
Q: How much does Nissan charge to terminate a lease?
We have an 07 Murano and would like to terminate the lease. Has anyone ever settled with Nissan? If so, how much can we expect to settle for?
A: call and ask, every car is different. Better yet, READ THE CONTRACT YOU SIGNED
Q: How many manual transmission nissan maximas were made in the year 2005?
So I’ve been calling dealers everywhere for a 5 or 6 speed 2005 nissan maxima and it’s really hard to find. I’ve been wondering, does anybody know how many were made that year? I plan on just keeping on calling until I find one, but it would be nice to know how reasonable it is to look for one of these.
A: Only about 10% of production were 6 speed good luck finding your dream car.
Q: How long is a Nissan Sentra supposed to last after its radiator is changed?
I am trying to buy a Nissan Sentra buit title because its radiator fell apart while in a high curve. I was wondering before i buy it how long is it expected to last. The car currently has about 79,000 miles and it’s a 2007. Please, somebody that knows aobut cars tell me something about it and some other tips as well. Thanks.
A: buit title because its radiator fell apart in a high curve? I don’t know what your asking. MR-2.0 liter Sentra motors do not like sludge and oil must be changed at regular intervals. Rebuilt Title means the car was totaled in a crash the radiator just does not fall apart. In a crash the front end gets smashed back into the motor. CAR FAX costs a little following up with the vin# and asking a Nissan Dealer if they can run the warranty repair history. If the car has never seen a dealership be very suspicious. 79,000 miles in less than 3 years means this car was used and driven a lot of miles each year. If the engine has been overheated abused you may not know right away. I would walk away unless this car is very cheep.
Q: Why does my 98 nissan altima make a squealing noise when i first start accelerating but stop when i get my?
speed up? It is 1998 Nissan Altima, and here recently the water in it was low and I filled it up but now its making a squealing sound..? What can this be? And how can it be fixed.
A: The belt could be the culprit, but since you mentione your coolant level was low, it could have caused your water pump to cavitate becuase of air. Try getting your belts replaced first. If that doesn’t stop the squealing, have your water pump removed/inspected by a reputable mechanic and see if it needs replacing.
Q: How many Nissan 240sx convertibles were built with a manual transmission?
Between 1992-1994 nissan made 240sx convertibles. I believe in 1994 the only convertibles were automatics. So how many convertible nissan 240sxs were made in 1992 and 1993 with a manual transmission, if any. Thanks
A: As I recall, the 240sx convertibles never came with the option to have a manual transmissions. They were only released with automatic transmissions.
If you come across one that is manual, its because someone had swapped it in.
Q: Why don’t new Nissan Pathfinders and Frontiers come with eccentric bolts and washers?
The Nissan dealership says they don’t come with eccentric bolts and washers, which according to them is necessary for proper alignment.
They want me to have them installed.
A: Pedro does not like us crooked dealerships. Nissan can build plenty of trucks with out eccentric bolts because fixtures hold everything aligned then tighten the lower control arm bolts next the eccentric guide plates are welded in place. You have to let the car or truck settle before aligning any way. Generally all the rubber bushings and suspension rubber take a set around 10 to 12.000 miles. Because warranty covers adjustments for one year 12,000 miles (you get the idea). That darn truck is less than one year old and pulls to the right better align it for free.
Q: How to escalate my new Nissan car’s problem to Nissan headquarter?
I bought a new Nissan Sylphy in Jan 2010. It gives me so many problems that I have to send to workshop to repair several times in less than 2 months. The sales branch level only ask me to send for repair, their Kuala Lumpur headquarter also say the same thing. Personally I opined that the problems arise mainly due to (1) spare part quality, and (2) car assembling workmanship. I need to find out the channel to bring to Nissan headquarter in Japan, anyone can advise ?
A: I suppose you have good reasons (and some material proof) of what you’re asserting. Write to your Nissan importer, copy to the Manufacturer’s Headquarters in Japan, and state clearly the problem(s) supporting it with bills, photos or other useful info.
National importers definitely don’t like when customers write directly to their global HQ, so this, together with some pressure from the HQ, might actually help to get THEIR full attention to your case – the first step towards a satisfactory solution.

Q: What is the newest model Nissan Frontier I could get with my budget?
My budget is 14k and below. I want a Nissan Frontier with less than 50k miles on it, v6, 2 wheel drive (dad wont let me get a 4×4). It has to have 4-doors. Considering everything above what is the newest model I could possibly run by? And what do you think the odds are that I will beable to find one to meet my specifications?
When i say, what is the newest model I could get I mean like could i get a 05? 06? 07?
A: You know that a 2005 goes from 12-13,000 at some used ar lots or dealerships so if you bought it privately you might be able to get one anywhere from 9-11,000 bucks and you might even find a 2008 for 14k.
The key here is doing your homework, having a lot of patience, asking a lot of questions, and check online, the newspaper wanted etc ads and also check what the dealerships are offering bec it truly is a buyers market out there and you could wheel and deal a lot in prices or warranty coverage etc.
Note that any sales person or private seller that doesn’t want or like you checking under the hood etc or doesn’t like you asking questions or seems in a hurry or nervous etc, just walk away from the vehicle asap.
Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way there are a few factory recall issues on some of those vehicles so ask about them.I’d want to be sure that you check with the dealerships regarding factory recalls, service bulletins and any flash or program updates.Note regardless if private or a dealership purchase be sure you spend the extra time and cash to have a reliable shop or a non-bios mechanic to perform a full certification check on any vehicle you’re interested in.
